We purchased a new 2026 Volkswagen Atlas SEL Premium R-Line from Group 1 Volkswagen in Panama City at the end of March. While the sales process was positive, our ownership experience has been extremely disappointing. Problems began the day we brought the vehicle home, including issues with the camera system and other functions. We reported them immediately and brought the vehicle in for service. Since purchase, the vehicle has spent 37 days in the service department, and the issues remain unresolved. When we finally went to pick it up, it would not start and required a battery replacement. We still receive low-battery warnings and have been told it may be after July before the remaining problems can be addressed. The lack of communication has been equally frustrating. Despite multiple attempts to contact Group 1 corporate headquarters, we have received no response. After spending more than $60,000 on a new vehicle, we expected reliability and support. Instead, we have dealt with ongoing defects, lengthy service delays, and uncertainty for nearly three months. A new vehicle should not spend 37 days in the shop, and customer concerns should not go unanswered. We are extremely disappointed and hope dealership management and Volkswagen take these concerns seriously.
