Sticking with the standard equipment nets you an impressive 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine, complete with 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Turn things up a notch by upgrading to the available 3.6L V6 engine, which generates 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque.

Plus, no matter which engine you opt for, you can experience the benefits of an 8-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic® and Sport mode. When your VW Atlas is in Tiptronic® mode, manual shifting allows for added control of your driving experience.

That’s not all this SUV offers in terms of performance, though. 4MOTION® with Active Control is an available option. What is 4MOTION®, exactly?
